Make a positive change in your life
Therapeutic counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences.
Talk to an experienced professional in a safe, accepting & confidential space.
There are many reasons why people seek counselling, and many ways in which it can be helpful.
Having someone who is able to really listen and understand, without judgement, is therapeutic in itself. A safe space to let off some steam can feel life-saving.
It may be that you have particular issues or difficulties that you want to overcome, such as living with anxiety, or depression. Finding ways of dealing with issues can enable you to thrive rather than just survive.
Therapeutic counselling provides a safe and confidential space in which I, as an impartial, trained professional, can help you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a way that is right for you.
Developing a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, your current or past circumstances, can enable you to start living the life you want rather than the one you’ve found yourself living.
I have been a qualified Person-centred counsellor since 2007, and am on the accredited register of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).
I am also a Senior Teaching Fellow on the Counselling and Psychotherapy Degrees at Warwick University where I have been teaching for 15 years.
I have counselled in a variety of general and specialist settings including mental health agencies, hospices, working with bereavement and people with life limiting conditions, asylum seekers and refugees, and domestic violence and abuse.
My qualifications include a Professional Diploma in Person-centred Counselling, a BSc(Hons) and MSc in Psychology.
I undertake regular professional development training and clinical supervision.
Before I became a counsellor I worked in a variety of settings in the private and public sector, from psychology research to technology design and development, working with young offenders, youth and community arts, special needs, further and higher education, which means I have experienced a range of people and environments.
I am a member of BACP, The Person-centred Association and Adoption UK and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I am based at the Evesham Natural Health Centre, on Evesham High street. See here for directions.
To book your initial consultation:
I offer an initial consultation in which we can talk about what you want from counselling and I can introduce myself and the way I work. This lasts 1 hour and costs £30.
After that sessions cost £55 per hour and are usually held weekly. Some people find that one or two sessions is all they need, other people wish to meet for a longer period.
